GCS morns loss of Robbie White, co-founder
For those of you who have not heard, our beloved Robbie left us peacefully in January 2016 after a long, courageous fight with cancer. She shared a legacy of faith and hope for untold numbers of cancer patients throughout Georgia. She inspired others to come forward and unite in the fight against cancer. She held a deep devotion to her family, her Christian faith, and her friends. Robbie White’s legacy of giving, kindness, and selflessness will be remembered fondly by all who loved her. Our thoughts and prayers to her husband Dan, her son Daniel, and her family.
And now, to you from Robbie, a bible verse which gave her comfort: “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” –Isaiah 40:31
November 12, 2015 is Georgia Gives Day!
Georgia Gives Day is an initiative that has been co-created by the nonprofit sector itself. Since the inaugural year in 2012, more than 2,000 nonprofits across the state have raised a combined $5.1 million through GA Gives Day, as tens of thousands of Georgians come together each fall to build up their most cherished cause in what’s called a “flashmob of giving.”
Georgia Cancer Support needs your help! We’re focusing raising donations during several “Power Hour” times Thursday, when we would compete statewide for $1,000 prizes and $250 Golden Tickets. To qualify, donations must be a minimum of $25. With this being our last major fundraiser of the year, please “Click to Give” on this link and make your tax deductible donation here during the times below, if possible:

*A unique or distinct donor is defined as a single individual or entity that made his/her donation online via the gagivesday.org website and is identified via a unique email address. For purposes of awarding prizes, multiple donations from one donor to the same nonprofit will count as one gift (and thus he/she/it will count as one unique donor).
